Dr. Asmita Khadka is the Campus Chief of Samarpan Academy with expertise in disaster risk management, governance, leadership, sustainable development, and gender. She holds a Ph.D. in Governance and Development from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Thailand, a Master's in Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and a Master's in Leadership and Organization from Malmö University, Sweden. Dr. Khadka has served as a Visiting Faculty at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) and an Assistant Professor at Lumbini International Academy of Science and Technology (LIAST). Her experience spans teaching, research, and consultancy in disaster resilience and inclusive development, with publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals and regional policy resources on disaster resilience, bio-circular green economy, gender equality.

Dr. Khadka believes true education goes beyond textbooks. At Samarpan Academy, she helps students unlock their potential, build real-world skills, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Alina Englisch is currently working as an International Graduate Assistant. She is studying in the Master’s program of Crisis Management at ICMS. Before coming to Nepal she obtained a BA in International Social Work and Development at the University of applied sciences in Coburg, Germany. The course included two semesters abroad of which she spent one doing an internship at the NGO Bal Kshetra Nepal and one at the ELTE university in Budapest, Hungary. Additionally she also did an internship in the work field of refugee assistance. After writing the Bachelor Thesis about competition and media representation for humanitarian organizations in disaster relief she wanted to focus on humanitarian activity and disaster management in her Master’s program.

Chris is a graduate from Coventry University in the U.K. with a BSc (Hons) in Disaster Management.
He is currently progressing his experience by working as a Graduate Assistant at the Institute and
working towards an M.A. in Crisis Management Studies.
He brings with him professional experience within organisational resilience, crisis management and
continuity as well as being a former British Army Reservist.

Pinkey Bogati has been working as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Crisis Management Studies. Her areas of interest are issues related to women in DRR and disaster resilience. A Graduate measuring Crisis Management Studies, she is also an alumni of Australian Award 2018 and was provided an opportunity to be trained for disaster risk reduction. She was part of several programs organized in and out of Nepal. She was one of the members in the Japan educational tour regarding DRM in 2017. She is also associated to various ongoing DRR projects. Previously, she served at GIZ (Disaster Recovery Project) as an associate consultant. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency has now selected her to contribute in DRR for further International training program. She has completed her first phase ITP training of SIDA in Manila, Philippines and second phase in Sweden about Disaster Risk Management. She has also worked in Sunkoshi Adventure Retreat Pvt. Ltd as a General Manager for four years of time period.
