ManoromaMandal joined Samarpan Academy, ICMS in 2015 as a 1st batch student of Masters in Crisis Management Studies and completed degree in 2018. Currently, she is working as a Project Administration Assistant for UNOPS-Nepal to work closely with the new provincial and local Government to coordinate programmes in the provinces and provide technical assistance, as appropriate. Previously, she has worked as a Project Support Officer for World Vision International-Nepal Earthquake Response to rebuild earthquake resistant houses for 311 HHs in Sindhupalchok. Earlier in same organization she worked as a Logistics Officer in an early response for the distribution of Non-Food Items (NFIs).

Sumit Bikram Rana Sumit Bikram Rana is the co-founder of newly formed Road to Resilience research center, a consulting agency working in the field of disaster risk reduction and management, that specializes in disaster sensitization and awareness program in community and school as well as assisting local government in developing its local plans. His previous engagement has been in advocacy and assisting federal and provincial government in drafting various Acts from Crisis Management Research Center. He has worked in developing Training of Trainers for Disaster Education for 30 Schools in Doti with financial support from World Vision. He has participated in International University Search and Rescue Games in Cyprus. He has accomplished his Masters in Crisis Management from ICMS and currently awaiting his master’s thesis. He has done his bachelor’s in business administration from Bangladesh and completed his internship from Swisscontact, South Asia Regional Office in Bangladesh.

Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma is a Trainer/Influencer who helps audience to enhance life skills and simplify the way of living. He is currently working as a consultant for public health/mental health related trainings, seminars and workshops. With distinction in diploma in General Medicine and Bachelor in Public health, he had an experience of working in 20+ districts of the country including 4 provinces in a nationwide project funded by USAID called ‘SUAAHARA’, for 4 years improving maternal, infant and young child nutrition. Prior to Masters in Counseling Psychology, Kapil worked for 6 years as a Social behavior change communication change officer, Motivational Speaker, Faculty coordinator &Lecturer and Program producer/Radio Jockey. Previously Kapil worked as hospital practitioner and lecturer RJ for public health awareness programs as well. With genuine interest in Psychology and behavior change,Kapil Sharma is profoundly interested self-motivated guy with dynamic charisma includingRadio jockey, Quotes writing, Writing inspirational articles, Public speaking coach, Motivational speaker, Career counselor and Influencer.

Laxmi Shrestha Laxmi Shrestha grew up in the city of seven lakes, Pokhara. Currently She is living in Sukedhara, Kathmandu and working as a Graduate Assistant in Samarpan Academy, ICMS and also pursuing her Master’s degree in Crisis Management Studies (2nd Semester). During her studies in ICMS, she has participated in different field visit and exposure program. She worked in the Recent flood of 2019 in Sarlahi in supporting local government in flood response, and assisted ICMS in organizing various events and conferences. She is fond of travelling and exploring new places. She is career-oriented as well as a fun loving person. She loves to meet new people and make friends where we can mutually support each other.

Deepak Adhikari Deepak Adhikari, a Graduate in Crisis Management Studies from ICMS has been serving in a capacity of DRR specialist at ECO-Nepal. He worked as an associate consultant in various international agencies including ECCO Cooperation, Giz, Food and Agriculture of the United Nations. He has also facilitated several programs as a resource person of DRR. Recently, he has been nominated for “Advanced International Training on Disaster Risk Reduction to be offered by Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency for thirteen months. Deepak has represented Nepal at Asian Development Headquarter, Manila Philippines, UNDP Regional Headquarter in 2018 and 2019 respectively as a young DRR practitioner. |
Pratistha Thapa Member, ICMS Alumni, 3rd Batch CMS
Pratistha Thapa, a Graduate in Crisis Management Studies from ICMS has been serving in a field of Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Management. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Social work and Mass communication. Formerly worked in the field of child protection as a program coordinator. She has facilitated various community development projects while working in non-profit organization in her student life. She has worked as a research assistant in various projects focused on Disaster Management. She has lead awareness campaigns to educate the community about wide horizon of hazards and disasters. She has participated in University Immersion Program and got trained in Disaster Management from Sichuan University, China. She has been actively involved in all the programs of ICMS and has served this institution as a graduate assistant as well.
